EXPERIMENTAL FARM

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Fredericton Research and Development Centre was established in 1912 and focuses mainly on potato research at its 850 Lincoln Road location.

Walking or driving the roads past buildings and through fields will afford you the chance to see Northern Mockingbirds, open-country birds such as Horned Larks and American Pipits in fall migration, as well as flocks of gulls and Canada Geese which gather there at that time.

A variety of songbirds may be encountered along woodland edges. A nesting pair of Bald Eagles can be seen in a large tree near the northwestern edge of the 278-ha property.
